"If she got really quiet and listened, new parts of her wanted to speak"
-SARK

I think a lot of good can come from spending sometime alone just to think things through.
To give you a chance to listen to yourself, without anyone else's influence.
But even those thoughts can make a mess of things.
Overthinking.
Thinking about every thought.
It gets exhausting and mentally chaotic.
So a little reflection? Fine and dandy.
But sometimes you even have to tell yourself to shut the hell up.

Yesterday was my first (of hopefully many) adventures of NYC. When people told me about the naked cowgirl ( and cowboy), I had my doubts. BUT -- I was proven wrong. Wayyyy wrong, and have photos of the chick to prove it. And please tell me, who in the world would buy Obama condoms? ( I mean other that the fact that they're hilarious). Sure enough many people were selling them with catchy phrases such as "Obama condoms, for hard hard times!". All I could do was laugh. I then learned how expensive food (and everything really) is in the city, and saw my first show on Broadway. (west side story!!!)

P.S. new york is a million times prettier after the sun sets

Diane Barrows: It's not like buying a car, you know.
Amanda Lemmon: I know. It's got to be that can't-eat, can't- sleep, reach-for-the-stars, over-the-fence, world-series kind of stuff, right?

We all have our standards.

personality profilers.

so, for school, i had to take a personality profiler. hah! what a joke.
but i swear, this is pretty dead on in my opinion.
but alaina would probably know better.
so, considering i suck at describing myself, here's what the results were....

EFNA THE PROPONENT
ENFAs are charismatic, fun loving, and enthusiastic. As an ENFA you are particularly concerned with formulating and living up to your beliefs and values. You emphasize personal growth and authenticity -- finding and expressing who you really are. Similarly, you endeavor to find meaning in the world around you and focus your attention on improving your surroundings.

You strive to develop emotional connections and maintain harmonious relations with others. You have a unique ability to get along with many different types of people and to see things from their perspectives, as well as to adapt easily to changing circumstances. You readily make new friends and quickly share your ideas; it is easy for you to be open with others. Your outgoing nature draws you to social activities. You enjoy talking things out with friends and family members, but tend to withdraw when you detect an unpleasant social situation. You care a lot about people's opinions and like to please others through deeds and actions. Even though you thrive on getting feedback, you tend to be hurt if people criticize your ideas or efforts.
You may have trouble deciding on one path to follow, and you struggle to stick with the goals you have chosen rather than turning to a new plan. You have an abundance of energy and drive when beginning a new project, and your charisma enables you to win the support and encouragement of others for your innovative ideas; this latter ability can be a key factor in successfully completing your mission. You like to learn and find intellectual subjects very appealing, but you may not stick with any subject long enough to delve deeply into all its aspects.
ENFAs are most often found in career fields that provide them with the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks and projects and focus on helping people. As an ENFA you will be most satisfied and productive when you're involved in work where your concern for people can be matched with your imagination and vision. You are most satisfied when you make a meaningful difference in other people's lives or have a positive impact on the world around you.

But, i love running.

I had a great day at track today.
Hopefully it'll continue, I'll sleep well, I'll juggle musical and track well, and my nose stuffiness will clear up.

Jessssseeeee!

He's dreamy.
You best be agreein'!

An Introduction!

Hello there, I would be Christina.
The Bonnie to Alaina's Clyde.
Or vice versa. No one wears the pants in this relationship.
Well, she might. Haha.
My life is almost always in some state of crazy-ness.
I cope in a myriad of ways.
Music. Art. Random projects. Movies. Reading. Dancing. Attempting piano.
Or I will call/text Alaina and rant to her.
But music is a big one for me.
Especially coldplay. It's one of my addictions.
But, enough for now.
There will be plenty later.
_____*

Jambo.

Okay. So, I'm Alaina.
My demeanor has a lot in common with that there picture.
Although I look like neither.
(That's Matt & Kim, by the way.
Listen to them.
Or don't.
.....I don't care either way.)
I like being dramatic, never finishing the projects I've started, leaving abnormal voicemail messages on my loved ones' phones, and this thing called running.
(Running is a bit more than a like however.)
I own a dog, a messy room, amigos, and a family.
A piano too.
You'll figure the rest out later.
I also have a co-writer in mass ramdoness descruction.
Who'll probably get this whole thing a whole lot better than you will.
Yay!
